I watched a documentary shot in Africa. Markets sold such items as chimp meat, even smoked hands and feet, right alongside good quality farmed beef.
Local people buy the so-called "delicacies" all the time over the standard fare. I found it quite disturbing.
Then there's the one where this asian "restauranteur" is picking up live cats out a crowded cage with a catch-pole and dunking them in boiling water to kill them.
It's all pretty depressing... much of the world just doesn't see the words animals and ethics in the same context.
