No. This is fundamentally wrong in terms of microeconomic price theory.
Demand and supply, at any moment, are independent of one another. Longer term, supply will be responsive to demand, or at least, to suppliers perception of demand.
As I wrote earlier, demand has recently been GROWING, not declining.
