I'm not sure about State College. I'm in Pittsburgh. While I don't think that Western PA is exceptionally vegetarian/vegan friendly, you can find a lot of options if you're willing to dig a little. Things may tend to get a bit more veg friendly the further east you go (i.e., closer to Philadelphia). Philadelphia (Eastern PA) is much more veg friendly, IMO. Since State College is east of Pittsburgh, you might be okay. You may be able to get more specific information from the State College branch of the Vegetarian Society:
