Why do `vegetarians` eat fish?

question - 2005/06/11 11:46 I`ve recently given up meat but not fish, so what kind of a vegetarian am I, or am I not one at all until I give up the fish? thanks for your help.

Re:question - 2005/06/11 12:01 What is a vegetarian? Someone who does not eat meat, poultry, game or fish and who also avoids slaughterhouse by-products such as gelatine and animal fats. Most vegetarians eat dairy products and free-range eggs, Vegans avoid all animal products.

Re:question - 2005/06/11 12:53 Pescetarians are not vegetarians. You`d have to avoid fish to be vegetarian. And you`d be vegan if you`d also give up dairy, eggs, and other animal-derived ingredients. The coolest part, though, is you`ll still be yourself. Categories are temporal, so be true to yourself.
