Breadmaker Bread Recipes...the great "strong flour" ripoff...really neccesary? - 2005/06/09 23:58 Just a tip I aquired recently. A friend from the caymans asked me why I need to buy "strong breadflour" to bake bread, all they use in the Cayman is plain flour and it`s fine!
I tried it and you know what, he is right!!
I imagine it`s like the wine thing, you either have the taste to tell the difference (or imagine you do) between the wines, good or bad. Or you dont! either way, plain flour works fine when making bread and cost 80% less then strong flours!
So why the fuss?
