I am an extreme example of protein intake for a vegan. Strength athletes are usually hitting somewhere in the 1-2 grams per pound of lean mass. I still get enough protein. I use soy in all of its various forms (no I am not concerned about phytoestrogens). I also like hemp (great protein), nuts, beans, seitan (very good), tempeh (another great source), various vegan protein powders like Sun Warrior, hemp protein powder, and products like Vega.
