McDonald`s continuing misinformation? - 2005/05/29 07:55
I told a vegetarian coworker about the McD`s fiasco. She told me a week or so later that she had approached the manager at the McD`s in the local mall and asked about the beef flavor in the fries. He fervently denied any such thing and assured her that whoever told her that was wrong or lying and that he`d never heard of any such thing and that they only use 100% pure vegetable oil and never fried them in anything else, etc etc. Anyone know what legal ramifications something like this could have, ie, do I try to
McD`s website to set him straight? Or, alternatively, make a deal with a Hindu friend to eat some of their fries after the manager tells him this... just kidding. Or perhaps it`s not McDonald`s responsibility to inform their managers and employees of this, and any customer with a question on a menu item should write to Corporate HQ. Who knows.
