I was wondering if there are any other ways to use the protein powder you're generally supposed to use in shakes/drinks. Is it possible to include it in baked goodies? or would you just use soy flour or something like that?
hmm... what exactly *is* the soy protein shake powder type stuff anyway?

Greetings to you,
I think that perhaps 99% of any diet, supplement, medication or operation that restores health is "placebo effect". What you believe, happens. If you believe a diet will make you healthy, it will. That's why the raw-vegan diet works so well for people who have a natural instinct that it is the right diet. And that is why people who have a lot of doubts often have problems.

Ever since January when I adopted a vegan diet in January, though not for
"strictly vegan" reasons, I have had to make plenty of adjustments in my diet. Some things were real sacrifices, such as giving up Mexican food and pizzas. Other things proved to be pleasant alternatives. In February, I discovered vegetarian bullion, which led me to become almost a vegetable soup addict.
However, there i

Greetings all. Here's a classic 'zine put out by some 'east bay vegans' way back in the early 90s. It seems to be out of print so I thought I'd re-post it in several parts here.
The 'zines tone is a tongue in cheek response to vegans and ARAs being called terrorists by the then chief of the NIH.
For the humour impaired, the hostage stuff is a joke.

........how you eat grass fed beef and the food you eat causes no collateral deaths.
Since you're always raggin' on vegans about collateral deaths, it must mean you eat NO veggies, NO fruit, NO nuts, NO legumes, and NO grains.
Just grass fed beef that according to you cause no cds.
Explain all that please.

Derek can see no significant difference between these two statements,
"A *typical* "vegan" diet compared to a *typical* meat-including diet will cause less animal death"
and
"A vegan diet compared to a meat-including diet will cause less animal death."
Derek, how about these two, can you see the difference?

I have a neice who for several months has demonstrated a committment to veganism and after her dissappearance for several months, we all learned to play it a bit cool because of the changes she had made. The differences were dramatic.
My neice has been away a few months and we were all surprosed to see her. At age 21, she certainly has no baby fat remaining. Don`t think you pinch an inch

I think the answer is yes, but I will double-check with y`all.
I think all the necessary nutrients are in the diet, with fortified breakfast cereal, fortified soymilk, maybe fortified tofu, fortified whole-wheat breads and bread products, etc...
I don`t know what would be missing.
Except omega-3 fatty acids come to mind, I don`t see those anywhere. Would that be a problem? Any other p
