A food question on a.f.v .. don't be too shocked now

I've just started to get into weightlifting a little more seriously, and
I'm wondering if there's any good high protein vegan meals around.
atleast double the amount of carbs as protein.
The majority of my protein now comes from a soy protein powder that I have of a morning. If I'm going to up my protein I'd prefer to do it through meals

This is a long story but I'll make it as quick as possible. I am a foster parent for two kids, one around 4 years old, the other 13. My husband has a full-time job but also helps out at times. Both of these kids are disabled and unable to eat well at all. The agency we work through has suggested that we go to this feeding clinic that teaches them about eating food, how to swallow, etc. I didn'

Why do "vegans" claim to be "minimizing" their animal death toll, when
1) they have never calculated their toll
2) for virtually all of them, it is trivially easy to show that they could even choose a different vegetarian diet than the one they currently follow, and realize a reduction in animal death

I'll bet that if the number of vegetarians in New York City (rough population of 10 million) doubled from 5% to 10% (again these are rough estimates) there would be a dramatic drop in animal deaths. The anti's here will argue that eating grass fed cows (GFC's) is the way to reduce CD's and the vegetarian diet drastically increases the CD's. However many cows served up in NYC are not GFC's. Simp

First let me upset everyone here by letting you know that I am a carnivore.
I eat meat and have done all my life. I know, I know almost everyone who is strict vegan/vegetarian will put up insulting posts, but for those of you who read farther then you will be able to give me any sort of opinion at all.
I eat a few vegetables. Potatos, corn, rice, and grain products. But that is about it. Why

Is it all one and the same troll? Same message, with a slight variation of words, in _every_ post.
Is there any discussion of animal rights/ethics issue here, beyond this lonely boy actually trying to convince himself that supporting the meat industry is a "better" way to avoid cruelty to animals?
Sigh ... must stop feeding the troll.

I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years now. A few weeks ago, I thought to myself "let's see if I can eat steak".... just to challenge myself and see if I can. I never tried. Then yesterday, I thought,
I'll start small... just one bite of sushi. But even the smell of meat turns my stomach so much that I can't bear to take a bite.

I eat pretty much whatever I want now, but I want that to change. I just bought the book Becoming a Vegetarian by Melina Vesanto. I`m hoping I get some good info from that and stick with this. Whe

Homocysteine is an amino acid made in the body and is now recognized as an independent risk factor for heart disease because it is thought to damage the lining of the arteries. The B vitamins - folate, B6, and B12 - all act to keep a low level of homocysteine in the blood. A study from the Slovak Republic reported that vegetarians

Lets say instead of just slitting a cows throat (at the butcher), they first put a large hook in the cows mouth jerked them up in the air, then dunked them in water to drown them......
Or maybe just have a big net that scooped large numbers of cows up and pulled them under water so they would drown....
Would it then be ok
